01Who We Are

SakuraLog is an anime tracking app built independently. When we say "we," "us," or "our," we mean SakuraLog and its developer. When we say "you," we mean anyone who uses the SakuraLog app.

02What We Collect

We collect only what's necessary to provide the service.

• Account information — your email address and optional username, provided when you sign up.
• Watchlist data — the anime you add to your list, their statuses, episode progress, ratings, and rewatch counts.
• Profile picture — if you choose to upload one.
• Notification preferences — which anime you've set notifications for.
• Feedback submissions — if you submit feedback through the app.

03How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to operate and improve SakuraLog:

• To sync your watchlist across your devices.
• To send episode airing notifications you explicitly opt into.
• To generate your profile stats and genre chart.
• To respond to feedback you submit.
• To improve the app based on general, anonymized usage patterns.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond running the app.

04Third-Party Services

SakuraLog uses the following third-party services to function:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your account data and watchlist are stored on Supabase servers. Supabase is SOC 2 compliant. See their privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
• AniList — we query AniList's public API to fetch anime data (titles, covers, scores, schedules). We do not send any of your personal data to AniList.
• YouTube Data API — used to show anime trailers in the app. No personal data is sent to YouTube.
• Jikan / MyAnimeList — used for news and library import. No personal data is sent.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising or tracking SDKs.

05Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party, except:

• As required by law, court order, or government authority.
• To protect the safety of our users or the public.
• With Supabase, solely as a data processor to operate the service (covered under their data processing agreement).

06Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as you have an active account. When you delete your account, all associated data — your watchlist, profile, notifications, and auth credentials — is permanently deleted from our systems immediately. There is no recovery period.

07Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

• Access — your watchlist and profile data is visible to you in the app at all times.
• Correction — you can update your username, email, and profile at any time from Account Settings.
• Deletion — you can permanently delete your account and all data from Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account. This is immediate and irreversible.
• Export — contact us at support.sakuralog@gmail.com to request a copy of your data.

08Children's Privacy

SakuraLog is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

09Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data. Your account is secured with email and password authentication managed by Supabase, which uses industry-standard encryption. Passwords are never stored in plain text.

No system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, change your password immediately from Account Settings or contact us.

10Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

We will never change this policy in a way that reduces your rights without notifying you in the app first.
